Higher ROF vs Higher FPS

Jan 25, 2009 5:56pm
Was reading that veteran players prefer higher ROF than Higher FPS on a different forum. Was wondering if this tendency was true and why? Thx

up to your playstyle, i prefer RoF over FPS, main reason - FPS is overrated. any player can tell you they can make it work with whatever gun you put in front of them.

I usually run my gun on semi auto and pick my targets. So ROF is nice should I need a quick follow up shot.

I like accuracy, range, fps....

eh, i go with decent rof, good range, and decent fps..

was curious what your suggestions would be for increased ROF and Distance ..... High Speed Gears or High Torque? How much of a difference does it make?

The question is...how fast do you want the ROF to be.

I'm with the RoF crowd. There's no reason to blast BB's out past 400fps if you have a decent hop-up. I think it is because of the advances in hop-up technology that snipers have such a hard job. Any well put together G36/M16/AK47 can be a decent DMR and parallel any sniper rifle's ability.

I would argue that accuracy is most important, followed by range.

There is more than one way to get both these days. As long as you have the money and know-how, you don't have to choose.

OV brings an excellent point to the discussion. I've observed the same things he describes and darn near every game I've played.
