Places to visit
ok me and Jew fiancé are celbrating our anniversery soon. I'm takeing her on a suprise weekend trip. However I have no clue
how about a list of places you've already been... lets start there.
Tahoe National Forest is nice...
i would say right now with the weather and the time of year. Santa Cruz would be nice. Cheap rates on hotels. nice weather. Not sure if the boardwalk would be open but man it would be nice to catch Santa Cruz on one of thies 70degree days in Feb!
If the weather holds out, why not Monterrey? This past summer I took my cousins and friends down and we went kayaking. It was a ton of fun, we kayaked with seals, sealions, otters, and a ton of other wild life up close. They were literally within an oar's length of the kayak.
It's a very good date/ trip thing to do ;)

Wine tasting in Napa. Its free around here, but not sure in Napa. If it is then you save some cash.
I have to put in a vote for Monterey. This time of year it's pretty cool there. No tourists, and as long as the weather is nice it's really cool place to hang out. The beaches along the ocean side have some neat tide pools and rocky spots that are really cool.

Well, Napa, is wine country......kinda cool to hang out there. As for Bodega Bay try Bodega Dunes....its a campsite. You're around 2 or 3 beaches. Um, here's another thought.....Point Reyes Campground. Cool place also.
+1 on a Santa Cruz or Monterey kayaking. There is the aquarium too.
Oh I forgot we have done two day trips to San fran already. She didn't like it there LOL but ty for the idea.
Maybe Point Reyes... There is a neat waterfall on one of the beaches.

Ferndale is my favorite place to visit with the GF when I'm on a budget. It really depends what you are into, its a great place if you are old souls like us looking for a quiet getaway.

I'd have to say Yosemite. All around fun place to be. However, if you stay on the valley floor, reservations are hard to get and are booked four months in advance. That is, at least when I went but I stayed a whole week with one of my friends around the middle of June.

well i can tell you this. I plan our stuff around thing special to us. My wife loves the water loves it. She also has not seen the ocean. So for our 1yr anniversary i took her to Santa cruz, and we walked down to the beach. I watched her and took pictures it was one of the most memorable times in her life. She has a water bottle with sand and ocean water she keeps next to her desk :). Still trying to figure what im going to do this year, only have 2 weeks left :(
Well then ya gotta take her back to the water. I recommend Point Lobos and the tide pools just South of Carmel.
