what comm gear do you use?

Feb 14, 2009 7:25pm
I have been wanting to add comm gear/radio to my kit for MILSIM purpose. But I know nothing about radio. which one should I get, so that I can at least communicate with most players?

Most airsoft players, if they even have a radio, will be using a FRS band radio, such as Motorola TalkAbout series. In all honestly, unless you're doing milsim games, or working with a team, you're most likely never going to use your radio in a game.

I have a Motorola talkabout with a TASC style headset speakermike or alternately, a speaker mic.

I use the S-H O U: T system. Works well but in longer distances not so great. It also gives away my postion and those that resond using it. It is cheap though.

Stop lying y'all. You know we all just sms text each other on the field. Personally, I prefer the use of semaphores and morse code.

If you can get ones with the proper connectors or have the ingenuity and know how to create some than yes they will work.
