Sniper rifles
Looking into getting a sniper rifle, but don't really know where to start. I was looking for recommendations as to the style, gas, electric, or spring, and basic info.

well im going to agree with pinkflamingo here, you will most likely not like it and sell it. its not like what you think it will be, a lot of aegs will have close to the same range as you and you will find yourself frustrated.
curius, you said to stay away from the m24, why?

well its junk, hd one and hated it. the hop up is flawed, the stock screws are trash, the accuracy lacked even when upgraded...
the vsr10 is the one that looks a lot like an m24 right? just $150! :o

Im running a m24, i had a two vsr's and i ended up throwing it away in a trade for the simple fact that I was just trying to get rid of it. Overall my m24, I think at least is performing great. I have dropped the bucks to upgrade it, and have replaced the screws for .80 cents a peice at any hardware store, But im still running the original hop unit and trigger mech. I havent had any problems with the gun and am much happier with it than the vsr

heres a perfect example... look on other websites, why would people sell such beautiful guns and what not? notice how the majority of the reason is sniping isnt for me, well its the truth. you dont really get to run around and shoot em p with your friends. you have to mostly be alone, nad you dont always get to take a ton of shots.

hahaha, exactly, finding a good one is like finding a needle in a hay stack. theres a ton of junky ones, but when you find a good one, they are ok.

yeah thats one upgrade ive been aiming for its the new pdi hop up. Ive replaced all the internals in the cylinder, got a teflon cylinder, upgraded handle, tightbore and M3 scope. I also found a way to tune the trigger mechanism so that the pull isnt such a beast. Overall though Im really happy for it, and I love the weight and realisticness of it

also a sniper isnt just a gun, its how you play. have a go bag with sniper equipment. Meaning a measuring tape, calculator, note book, etc. I have a ghillie suit and such and I wil play games where I only get less than a handful of shots off. But i enjoy it so thats all that matters

yea, same here... i sold my ghillies... haha so i guess ima have to make a new oone...ugh, i hate doing that..
my buddy made one out of jute string. whats the best material to use? does it really matter if you end up filling it with natural veg before a game anyway?
