Recon Challenge 3/22 Vermont

Feb 18, 2009 7:53pm
How's it going gentlemen. I am looking for some motivated individual(s) to join my Recon Challenge Team. The Challenge consists of a 3 mile run with 15lb packs, 200 pull ups, 500 situps, 3 mile run (boots and utes), 1000 yard swim, 12 mile ruck with 60 lb packs, and other military related PT such as buddy carries, low crawls, and what not. Team members will only have to pay for airfare, room and board would be provided. It is a great experience. Note: Anyone wanting to join this team has to be good to go PT wise. As it is right now I am looking to place in the top three this year. That means competing against SEALs, Green Berets, Rangers, and PJs and giving them a run for their money. (The SEAL Platoon has won it 8 years running) I'm posting this because I've run out of options, my buddies are either in BUD/S, or on deployment so I need someone good to go. Let me know about any questions or concerns you have. Anyone with military aspirations would have a great experience with this event.

"3 mile run with 15lb packs, 200 pull ups, 500 situps, 3 mile run (boots and utes), 1000 yard swim, 12 mile ruck with 60 lb packs" 15 minutes ago I passed out and threw up after reading this.

Well I should've been clearer. The 200 pullups and 500 situps are split between the 4 man team. So you'll have to be able to complete 50 with no problem. Note, since the pull ups are Marine Corps standard they're a little bit easier since you can kip and change your grip.

Negative. You them individually but with your team.
