I was thinking of getting a WA m4a1. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it, or if the gun was Sacair Legal?

I have one. They are very awesome guns. But you really need to take care of them.

It kicks like a .22 and full auto is really fun. Its a pretty hefty gun and feels solid. The biggest downside is that mags are ~$100 and only hold 50 rounds, so that's something to consider when buying it to skirmish. And yeah, you have to take care of them. Long story short, if you have a lot of money laying around, then by all means go for it.

Unless you stick with electric blow back. Gas blow back requires a bit of "tuning" to get skirmishable, even the WE. The initial cost is quite a bit regardless of whether you decide on WE, WA or Daytonagun/SP/Escort. The last on is an external rig based, aeg bodied & mag fed style.

ra tech will be releasing mags for the wa m4s. i imagine those will be much more affordable. they are also making an fps adjuster kinda like the tanaka pcs bolts so maybe they'll be sacair legal with those.

PGC is also making mags in different varieties too. They'll also be making WE compatible mags too. WE will also be releasing a line of CO2 mags which could be a good thing if the nozzles are tuned to produce under 400FPS with CO2. This could mean year round playing with a GBB.

oh and if you're thinking about a wa gun, consider the g&ps also. they're similar in price to the wa's but are all metal, internally upgraded, blah blah blah.

ok cool. so currently tho, unless you have a mag w/ adjustable power, the WA m4a1 would be illegal for sac air events. or just DMR use only, right

doing some searching, and What about RAP4 airsoft guns. They use c02 so its not weather dependent as much and shoot much more consistantly. Also full submersion is a plus :D

You should put a bit of R & E into your searching.

Rap4 guns are basicly altered paintball guns with it's tank as the buffer tube. They also re-brand replica stuff and sell it a much higher price.
