wanting one for concealed carry... anticipating getting hired by some LE agency. G26 is a little fat for my taste

I have heard great things about the SU-16 CA (not the Alpha or Bravo models they are supposed to suck) I like its light weight, ability to fold up and still be legal in Commiefornia. Its going to be my hiking rifle for when I go out in the backwoods by myself instead of taking my dinky .22 rifle.

I've personally seen a firing pin break on a brand new one. Less than 200 rounds.

The points system was the Federal ban that expired in 2004. California has its own set of laws you need to know to safely buy certain types of rifles.

If you want it for a hiking gun how about an m1 carbine. Reliable, very light, and small enough not be in the way. I love mine for taking with my out hiking, 4x4ing, whatever.

Yeah, when I actually get a decent paying job (ie not 8.00 an hour working my ass off protecting dumb college students) I will probably buy/build my own AR. Right now, my budget does not allow for more than 700 dollars on a rifle and I find this rifle to be perfect for my hiking trips that go into the backwoods by myself during my break from college (pesky varmints and such and maybe some plinking if I feel the need). Otherwise I would be gung-ho for an AR.

hmm...maybe if you go to the shooting range and see someone with one you could ask if they would sell it. in these times, people could sell almost anything. a fun range to try is the rancho cordova one out by jackson, on sunrise blvd. the guy who works there might also know some places to try.

Ok Glock 19 I have finally made my decision, I went and took the HFC or somethin test. Funny story with that- Guy gives me the test and he states besure to X through your answer not circle. I read the booklet it says besure to X through your answers not circle. I sit down mentally remind myself X not circle. Question #1 I circle it.
