My friend's unit provided support during some of the production. If you want a "behind the scenes" pic, send me a note.

Also write about Mike Durant, the pilot that was saved by Shugart and Gordon when his BH was shot down.

you can also tlak about SSg Daniel Busch, he was on board Super Six-One and defended it. He died of his wounds, and received the Silver Star.

I also found another book called IN THE COMPANY OF HEROES, by Mike Durant. The first few chapters tells about Gordon and Shughart heroism and also tells about his capture in the Mog. Good stuff.

Why the heck were they using AP rounds? Did they expect a bunch of armored soldiers?

why couldn't they just pack fmj rounds? standard rounds would have left alot more sizeable entry and exit wound, AP's would go right through just like talon said, like the bit in the story with the 60 gunner taking about 15 -30 rounds to down one sammy on the other side of a tree, plus the khat didn't help lol :?

Another interesting note is that the Delta operators, dispite being in heavy combat without sleep for over 24hrs, went right back out after grabbing more ammo and food. They discribed themselves as being in a hightened sence of awareness and "in the zone" after the intense situation. They went right back out into the city to look for Durant. No hesitations.

Sgt. Eversman wasn't part of Chalk 4. He was actually in the lost convey with Col. McKnight. Hope this tid-bit of info helps.
