ok so i was in the navy before and did my time and got out with an HONORABLE!!! i was in when desert shield became desert storm!! i got my national defense ribbon and quite a few more. so i was getting emails from my veterans benefits and come to find out my GI bill has expired!!! WTF!!!! are they really serious!!! how can they do that? that was MONIES i put in and they did too, but??!!! i was recently thinking of goin back to school too!!! SUKX FOR ME!!!

I believe your supposed to have 10 years till it expires from your ETS date. That's a bummer bro.

if you read your discharge and gi bill paper work it tells you that. You should have went over that stuff when you got out. All you needed to do to maintain eligibility was have like 1 class a year. you might be able to get it reinstated, i just went over this with buddy of mine i went to school with, you have x number of days to get into school, usually thats the end of the story. Your story should be a beware statement for other to read everything you are given....
Talk to a VA rep, they should be able to help you get it restored, happened to my old man, took em about two years to get their shit wired.
