Shot the M249 today (real steel)
Well a few of you may know, but im currently in Tech School at Lackland AFB. We shot the M249 today and it was freakin awesome! It was 40 degrees or so pouring rain and windy as shit. But the 5 mins of shooting was well worth it. Tomorrow i shoot the M249's bigger brother, the M240B im definently psyhched for that...

My plan coming in was to get K9, and my bachelors in criminal justice then get out and be a K9 Sheriff here in sacramento. But if you have any questions about how it is here just ask... BTW when you get here you will realize that Texas is the worst state ever... end of story
not as bad as alabama... god that state sucks... most humidity w/o rain i have ever experienced. nothing dries, it just just gets less damp

How is the criminal justice program there?
Everytime someone puts a RIS on an AK, God kills a kitten.

yeah, I have a friend in OCS who just got rolled back because he got a stress fracture on his hip from carrying the SAW all day long in BCT. He loved shooting it, but he's pretty pissed at it for fracturing his hip...

that'd be YOUR 240b acting up. When i was with FR i maybe saw 3-4 james
The M16's in BMT were the same ones you used.... Those jammed a ton (even though i had no problems.) The M4's were flawless and so were the M9's. No major problems with the M249 but it seemed like today there were a few mishaps with weapons and we were shooting the M240 today. Anyways, how long were you in AgentOrange? And whered you go from being security forces (for you it was air force police)... did you specialize into anything?
definite retrofits! The m60 I got to play with in training jammed every 30 rounds like clockwork.
Today we threw handgrenades. They were gay little firecrackers though for training purposes but at the end the instructors picked the 4 people who went through the procedures and threw the training grenades the best to throw live handgrenades at a separate range. I was one of those 4 people out of a team of 106!!! Throwing the live grenade was so fuking awesome. After the it goes off you can still here the shrapnel hitting shit around you. Definently one of the most exciting times since ive been here.
