I was wondring what kind of paint is best for an ris and metal body that will last for a while

Krylon camo. Although it is not very resistant to break cleaner. Just a heads up on that. Walmart has the best price.

make sure to scuff up the metal a bit with either a fine sandpaper or some fine steel wool to allow the paint to stick better.

Different metals are prepared differently, but using sand paper, steel wool, or an emery cloth is reccomended. Depending on the current surface/finish of the material.
