Does this allow the insertion of BALCS soft armor and SAPI's? It looks pretty simple. Reminds me of the AWS Trauma Armor used by Special Forces DA teams in the late 90's

Vince, a soft armor is included with the PC. :) Took some more photos of it. Uploading em shortly :)

1/2" EVA foam...is this the kind of stuff you can pick up any any hardware store?

I did not check hardware stores for them. I bought em online. The foam is soft and pliable but rigid. It flexes around what its against and provides better cushioning for when you absolutely positively have to do a faceplant.

work out mats or yoga mats work the best as "soft inserts" ;) but hot.
