I've got a CA SCAR-L that I am wanting to get a higher ROF out of. I'm going to re-do my electrical system and run a wire to the front so I can accomidate a RIS mounted 10.8v 3300mAh external battery. I have a few questions that maybe some of you techies can advise me on.
I'm sorry, was that your face?!
You can run no fuse so long as you know exactly what it is for. If something locks up in your gearbox, you NEED to know to not keep pressing your trigger. If that motor doesn't want to spin, you'll over heat everything real quick.

I was told that Dean's plugs give your battery a higher output. Maybe that is exclusive to RC cars. I did get the parts from an RC hobby shop.

Dean's plugs offer less resistance, so there might be a slight increase in rof, but I doubt it will be noticeable.
They also can withstand a higher Amperage they are rated for 30+ Amps, where a small taymia is only rated for about 15Amps.

So I guess I don't have to redo the mini plugs that come out of the gear box.. good. There's not much wire coming out, and I expect to mess up a few times before I get it right anyway. I'll just leave those parts alone.

Well if you already got the parts, I don't see why you wouldn't change the connectors. desoldering and resoldering is about as hard as scribbling on a piece of paper. I'm sure there are video tutorials floating around on the web if you are unsure what to do.
