Air Force Q
Hey guys, I've got a question about the Air Force for y'all.
I am in the AFROTC program right, this is my 3rd year and have completed Field Training (for what its worth); and from what i know, here are the answers to your questions:
Thanks a lot, I'm good on grades then. :P And I thought my 2.75 wouldn't be enough. But for extra curricular would a job count?
In the marines I've heard that they only use the Helicopters though, is this true?
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.
you're still gonna want and try and get better grades. How it works, there a certain number of flight slots allocated for ROTC use, so the better you can be agains tthe rest of the ROTC students in the nation, the better.
Oh la la, I like those Harriers. If I did join the Marines could I get this signed onto my contract? Or is it something that I have to work up to though collage/training?
I don't really know how the PLC works. You have to put together an application package, ad take a Marine Corps PFT, and get a certain score in every section just to qualify. They you put that in your package and your Officer Selection Officer sends it off to a selection board. Then once you are accepeted into the program, you can talk about the flight program. You can get flight slot in writing, but as to the type of airframe, that depends on how well you preform/ needs of the military.

no, its still the AF flying the A-10. the guy who is tlaking to them on the radio is an AF CCT man
I'm less then 2 weeks from finishing up my undergrad and I've been in Army ROTC for four years. For what it's worth, in the army aviation is always one of the top two choices of the entire country.
AF ROTC is your GPA and commandant recommendation from what I've been told by the cadets down the hall. If you go to sac state talk to CPT Bones or MAJ Noche... they both walk around in flight suits from time to time. As for what you fly thats luck of the draw I think.

God save us everyone will be burning inside the fires of a thousand suns.
its all AF: Tyrese Gibson, A-10, AWACS, AC-130.
Well thanks guys, you've answered all the questions I have for now.
