Are grenades legal?

Jun 7, 2009 5:05am
Everyone knows there's no better way to assault a defensible position than with a little indirect fire. So can I use my favorite little paper-cup/firecracker nades? They have a kill radius of like 10 feet and they probably hurt less than a burst from an AEG. If that's not cool, then can I still use my baking-soda/citric-acid nades? And if that's STILL not cool, then can I use my water-balloon-filled-with-BB nades?

You are making a $3000 mistake and a felony as well
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

Too bad, I was hoping I'd found low-cost way to even the odds. Tornado grenades are like 100 bucks each. Who has money for that kind of thing?

TBH, I didn't really think my quaint backyard weaponry would fly in this group, but how about any other low-cost grenade alternatives? The airsoft "M203" I've seen is actually a scattergun, and the Tornado is 100 dollars. Do you guys use dummy grenades or noisemakers to simulate personal indirect-fire solutions? Or do you play fast-and-loose with the milsim and not use anything but bullets?

Tennis balls have a kill radius of x feet (set by the admin) and do no damage to gear, eyeballs, and surrounding brush. Thats what i carry.

I've heard of fields allowing those whistling footballs. Those give your opponent the opportunity to yell, "INCOMING!".

You can buy plastic pinapple grenades or german stick grenades at numerous places. I myself have several german stick grenades.

A TENNIS BALL!??? LOL I love it! I'll definitely consider this one, or I'll look into noisemakers, since they would have a fuse that would give everyone a chance to slow-motion dive for safety before it went off. "Nooooooooooooo--"

These look cheap and semi-realistic, foam is a big plus, no worries about knocking someone out with something heavy like a tornado grenade.

You can buy a toy hand greande from K-mart. It even makes an explosion sound when it hits the ground. I used one once but I lost it. On the upsie I think it cost me about 5$.

I imagine they might just keep moving anyway. "I've got an 800 dollar gun, a 1000 dollar outfit, and a 300 dollar sidearm, and some kid is going to 'kill' me with a FOAM GRENADE? Fuck that!" If ever there was a reason someone might cheat...
Jun 8, 2009 12:47am
Hmmm actually if im investing that much money into my stuff im going to call my hit. Why? Because I do not cheat. I also think that is a horrible thought. (I know you were not saying I cheat nor were you incinuating that.) Most players I know will call a hit from that. I honeslty prefered to get killed by a non-explosive toy than an AEG burst from 20 feet away. It hurts less

It is not a matter of this state sucking. It is a matter of this state burning down. You live in Grass Valley bro you should know that. In mid July August it only takes a squirrel to fart and you have conflagration on your hands.

True... however the problem with that is that "safe and sane" fireworks that are sold in CA are just as likely to start a fire as a firecracker. It's the blowing up part that makes it not allowed here. I just think it's insane that it's a felony to have a blackcat... kinda nuts.
