for Xmas my wife got me the G&P Zombie Killer m4. I attempted to install the Zombat flash hider on it, and found the outer barrel was about an inch too long to fit. I cut the outer barrel down to the point where the inner barrel goes to the very tip of the zombat flash hider, it was still just a hair too short.
that's very odd. I see a few ways of you achieving a lower fps.
took it to cqb city this weekend. it was all over. 380, 420, 415, 420, 380.
My recommendation is just swap out the spring, on a v2 it's not to difficult and it's probably more reliable than monkeying around with air seal/pressure.
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.
Although not likely, perhaps your flash hider is actually contacting the inner barrel and pressing it back farther in to the hop unit, creating a better seal.

Maybe you should also check the condition of the bucking.
