I was reading my July issue of american rifleman and i found a story about how we can't defend ourselves, according to ABC's 20/20
Bravo Team
Was the media article Mr. Cox referring to
20/20's If I Only Had A Gun reported by Diane Sawyer and David Muir?

I just watched it. I wish I hadn't.
Im slghtly confused as to what the test wants to prove, however this test was bad in the sense that the students in real life will have no idea that a shooter is coming to the room. If I reached for a weapon EVERYTIME somebody came into class I would be ummm a little more whako then the shooter. This test fails on both aspect. It doesnt back up either side. It just proves it is a bad test.
Silly 1 sided tests.
[quote="Amateur Ninja"]obviously you dont know him.

The room that the test took was in a "horseshoe" shaped classroom. Am I correct when I say that the subjects were seated in the first row and at the center? I know you guys pointed out they knew where the subjects were seated, but I'm just adding proof to the subject.

the test was a total faliure IMO for a plethera of reasons. One: the students participating have little or no real firearms expirience besides billy badass who shoots his airsoft gun all the time which as we all know isnt expirience at all. Two: the students are given maybe 1 or 2 hours max of mediocre firarms training not including active shooter training or any other advanced firarms training. Three: the students are given SLS(Self Locking System) "off duty" holster and given at most 10 to !5 mins to become a professional at the art of drawing a firearm from its death trap of a holster which anyone who has ever done stress shooting knows the simplest holster funtion becomes like trying to solve a rubics cube. Four: the students are placed in a class room full of people with (as already mentioned) baggy shirt to cover their firearm, seated in the most tactically unfavorable position in the whole room besides having your back to the door. and Five: pitting a very limited trained student against a Law Enforcement Firarms Instructor knowing where the armed students are seated with gun in hand and gun blazing as he enters is a hearty welcome for failure...
"Remember Jimmy Mackaway on the yard used to say, If you wanna be making moves on the street, have no attachments, have nothing in your life you cannot walk out on in 30 seconds flat in you spot the heat around the corner..."
sooo much fail. Completely one sided test.
