I'm curious. I know there are teams in the South Bay, and I've heard of teams that go to CQB City, but I haven't been there.

Depends what you want from a "team". Do you want someone to go to games with and grab a beer after? Or are you wanting a group that trains together for events? Either way probably the best way to find a team is to go to games and be social, make friends etc etc.

At Galt and CQB city there are smaller squads. Some are a great group of guys some guys are just D-bags. Only real way to find them like Shoop said is to go to local places and find out for yourself.
