I know this is a scam.......

But help me out fellas/fellaettes. I'm just having trouble seeing how it is a scam. Out of shits and giggles, I responded to a craigslist ad (then flagged it) to see what they were trying to get and how. I was expecting one of those foreign royalty scams, but it's not as blatant. From what I got of this email, I'm thinking that they're fishing for my mailing address for ID theft or just some way to send me junk mail. Your opinions? I googled it but found nothing.

look man flat out its money laundering, everything you buy at a store can be bought online. There are literally hundreds of articles online tell you how and why etc about this sort of thing. Hes the catch when the feds come looking for the bad guy you are the one who goes to jail. Do not accept any money from ANY foreign country and do not ship ANYTHING for a fee to another country. There are actually businesses who can do this legally

whenever they say theyre in another country i just delete it.

They are buying items with a stolen credit card number and having you be the middle man. The address is to some other 'mark' who will ship the items along to yet another location. This gives the thief time to shut down his current scam and move on if the feds are on to him.
I have always acted in self defense, occasionally pre-emptive self defense.

I got one a few months back, someone claiming to be a Lt. in the army asked if he could use me to transfer money home from Iraq. He said to make sure the transaction would work I would have to send hi, some money first... lol

There was a show that Chris Hansen did with Dateline NBC. People in other countries would obtain stolen credit cards, buy stuff online and have the contents shipped to an address. Then the contents are shipped somewhere else.

Yeah this was just one of those things that brought up my curiosity, yet stumped me at the same time. I used my junk box to respond to his add to see what he had to say. Afterwords, I sent another response asking him how this scam works. That so called real estate investor/gallery owner replied to me with "F U prick!" (slightly censored). Imagine that. Aah the fun we just gotta have. :)
