To Mask or Not to Mask?
I have already purchased a mask for my big egg, but I have heard a lot from both sides on wearing a mask or not.
"Fat guy...... in a ........ little coat!"
Paintball mask especially for those close encounters or CQB.
For outdoors, i would just wear eye protection and not smile but for indoors i would wear full mask and a spagehtti top
I'm down with just safety glasses...
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
shooting at the face happends alot because thats usually the only thing that pops out.
Why not wear chain mail? I think that would hinder the problem of fogging. Unless you don't want to look like a complete jacka55 out there. Just go with goggles, masks give you tunnel vision, and then you'll get shot more in the side of the head and neck which will not be protected by the mask.
The 4 rules of gun safety:
What in the world made you suggest chain mail?
dont the bbs shatter and go thru mesh masks?
I'll never wear a paintball mask, thats what turned me off so much from paintball, couldn't use scopes, couldn't use binoculars... Kills the entire realism fact... I've been shot in the face, mouth, and thats why I wear a mouth guard when Im not with people I know...
what do you mean by them shattering and getting into your eyes?
they don't have any crotchless chain mail on ebay atm.
i was just talkin about a chainmail mask. like the one here
The 4 rules of gun safety:
When I'm sniping, I just wear some cheap shooting glasses from big 5. For CQB or assault role, I play with a paintball mask. I'm still young and purdy, and want to stay that way as long as I'm in college.

I like goggles but i don't like being hit in the face... quite a predicament. :(
I try not to get hit in the face too but that goes the same with every other part of my body :) the good thing is that we are all kewl peeps so we don't try to aim at the head on purpose, but when it happends it happends you know? in fact, i was shot in the lips with a sniper rifle last game and it hurt...the lips slowed it down before it got to my teeth..so i still have all my teeth.
Paintball masks won't/don't fog up if you get the treated lenses or treat them yourself.
My cousin and I feel the same way most of you feel about masks. They are big and clumsy most of the time. I was turned off to paintball because of the mask always fogging so this time I bought an expensive one and some $5 cheapies from Norca.

Behold the Coolness That Is John
If you apply anti-fog you won't have that problem.
If you don't mind getting shot in the face every once in awhile shooting glasses will be fine. Painball helmets are too big for me, and are a pain to use when you have a scope., but protect your face well. Like everyone else says for CQB get some type of fulll face mask. For outdoor games shooting glasses or tac google would be great. Just beware of Springers
