I want to build something long range. I play mostly CQB, but I want to start playing more field. I have enough CQB guns, now I want something that will really reach out. I looked at my parts box, not really much there. I has some random stock internals, a few AK externals. I would need to buy some stuff.

props for bargain hunting.ha. I would just suggest getting the hop up/barrel new just because those are the main components as far as 'reaching out and touching someone'. Nice job though

Mosdt range will be ofund in your hop and barrel along with bb choice. The gaurder clear soft bucking? are the ones I have had good luck with.

Id change the madbull for a prommy barrel instead. The R-hop was built around and tested with prommy barrel which had amazing results.

If you don't want the price of a Promy barrel I'd recommend skipping the Madbull and get a KM/TN barrel.

I've heard of it. I have an SPR that I built from parts that has great range and it uses regular parts. More than one person has fallen victim to underestimating its range on the field. I still stand by my recommendations.

Not to beat a dead horse but I would look for a promy barrel for the r hop, I have had trash luck with the Madbull barrels and avoid aluminium made barrels in general since I have had issues with bb streaking and the barrels actually being bent. I have never used any SHS products, but a Gaurder 70% bucking can be bought at aex for $5. one thing to consider to if you are doing an er hop mod, I think you will be cutting the hop window a bit longer and needing to re profile, I would rather have a steel barrel and work slower, then make a mistake and cut out too much from the aluminium barrel being too soft. ALSO I would advise getting a few stock barrels to practice the cuts on first. I jacked my first attempts up baaaad :lol:

The only thing I might add is don't be in too much of a hurry to complete your project gun. Know what you are looking for and be prepared to wait for it to come up on the used market. Patience will be rewarded.

Thanks. I have experince with craigslist and ebay. Pretty much I dont even consider buying anything used unless it is less than 60% of the original price. Buying stuff used it a big risk.

There are some killer deals to be had on here as well. I have got some good stuff from the private seller section here.
