Thanks everyone! I'll take more detailed photos of the next set I do for my cruiser, however they will be much less complicated as they are flat and thin. But it will give you the idea.

I envy your skill in this. Picking up a new rig soon, lookin to get a 85 4runner with a 3in rancho lift and 33's or 35's, and trying to find out how to waterproof it up a little.

Sick looking yoda you got bro.
Thanks... but my girlfriend has a "sick yoda". I just built her some half doors.

Today I did something I rarely do.... I finished a project! Half doors are done! Just in time too, to "give" them to her for her birthday. They came out really nice, I'm very happy with them. Ran out of red paint, so some touching up of the scratches needs but be done, but they are finished and installed!!!!

what, no speakers in the doors? Savages.
No, see that ugly little wooden box just to the left of the door... that's where the speakers are. Since we used to take the doors off during the summer, and now will be switching to these instead, it didn't make sence to have them in the doors. I guess I could buy 4 speakers, but them in both the full doors and the half doors and have some kind of plug, but they are fine where they are.

Today I scored something I have wanted since I found out there was such a thing. A Toyota Land Cruiser Wagon. Same running gear as the FJ40 but in a station wagon body. They are nicknamed "Iron Pig", thus the "pig farming". They are ugly as a pig but tough as iron I guess is where that came from. Either way... I got two of them!

Number Two has "Afghani Opium Warlord" written all over it.....
Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
I am really considering chopping the top of the "bucket" and if I deside to we could cut a hole in the roof before I do and build a turret for it... hahahaa....

awesome find! not every day you see one of those in running condition, let alone restored. Keep us posted on your progress.
Last week I pulled all the carpet out of the blue one and was really happy to find that the original floor mats are all there and in pretty good shape. More importantly, there is no rust under them! Nice solid floors. Still needs to get cleaned but my shoulder is still really bothering me so I haven't done much other then just pulled out the carpet.

After Dani and I used a lot of starting fluid to get "Bucket" running the other day, I haven't been able to get it to start since. Thought maybe I had sucked up some junk into the fuel lines (having only put a gallon or so of fuel in it). Checked them out, everything seemed to be OK. Pulled a spark plug and it was a black carbon chunk. I'm amazed we got it to start at all. Replaced all the plugs and wires today (for a total of $8, Dani and NEVER quit Napa), and it started right up and ran like a champ. Took it for a little test drive... and ran out of fuel 400 feet from my driveway. Opps. It cleaned up pretty nice too.

What is the size of the new motor?

Wooooo... got to drive "Bucket" around today. Fixed a ton of things. The drivers door would only open from the inside. Had to cut a hole in the inside of the door, fix the linkage, and then weld the part I cut out back in and make it look semi normal again (it's got a door panel that will be hiding it anyway). Now I can open the door from the outside.
