Hi. My ar15 ate its piston teeth up and I need some advise on what piston I should buy for it. I was thinking about getting the aluminum systema piston but I don't know if it will fit the bore dia of the classic army cylinder. Also is there a parts catalog or overhaul manual for the classic army ar15 and its gearbox with an exploded view?
Looks like you have a much older CA rifle. A Guarder piston should fit and is one of the best on the market. But if only a CA fits, they still work just fine.

It just happens...(and its supposed to so the gears don't fry) especially if you have an upgraded spring, be happy it took out the piston instead of a gear.
