there is obviously the "divorcing" of a parent in which you file a petition. legally you must be able to support yourself financially which is obviously a problem for most.

don't know anything about the laws on it but whats your reasoning for wanting to do that? Kind of an extreme step unless you're mccully culkin

considering the fact i just posted a question on a airsoft forum over the internet i understand your concern. although i am not asking for sympathy rather than information. i assure you this has been a though out process. Since enlissting in the Marines(temp dq for a lisp) but once the waiver is cleared and I am accepted into DEP I am wanting to try to take advantage of that situation.

to andrew thankyou. i would rather go about this properly than just up and leave. as tempting as it is, its also stupid, careless and generally will get you in trouble with the law, something I cannot afford.

its a legal separation making them not legal responsible for you. That does not mean you cannot live at home, that does not mean that they don't pay for you or your needs. I have 2 friends who were both Emancipated 1 at 14, the other at 17. The 14 lived at home with no job and his parents took care of him till he was 25 (sad really), the other joined the army. Like i said it still varies from county to county the ONLY way to get your answers is to go to the county court house get your paper work and fill it out....
