Camp Beale
Beale Air Force base used to be called Camp Beale. It opened in October of 1942 and was used to train the US army in preperation for the invation of Europe.

can you pm me the location of those bunkers? the Sac State ROTC does a 3 day FTX in the spenceville wildlife area every year and that would be a great place to use for one of the days.
Now that would be an awesome place to hold a game :)

We did do WWII reenacting there YEARS ago....then we lost the site. The state stopped letting us use the land.
I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!
Isnt that part still private land? I remember my dad taking me out here when he was stationed at beale, we wanted to play paintball their but could find an owner to ask
God save us everyone will be burning inside the fires of a thousand suns.
No, these ones are part of Spencville Wildlife Preserve. There are a lot of them though, maybe there are some on privite land somewhere out there. In it's day Camp Beale was HUGE. Most of the properties between Grass Valley and Beale AFB used to be part of Camp Beale. There are all sorts of relics to be found in this area from that time.... including some scary ones. From time to time you hear about someone finding a grenade or a shell of some sort around here and the bomb squads having to come dispose of it. I'll see if I can find the poster telling you to avoid them...

I know this is kinda necro posting, however I go out there quite a bit and was hoping if someone had the location of these? possibly marked on a map or directions to them? Im making a mad dash to see and experience all the unique things around here (especially historical) before I move, and this would be awesome to see. You can PM me info if you want. Thanks!

The easiest way to get tobthem is waldo road. There is a shooting range out there. The Dragons teeth are a few hundred yards down the road. The bunkers are about a half mile down the road from the shooting range. You can see them against the tree line. Just park and hop the fence and start walking. They are all along that tree line.
