oil question
i dont have 100% silicon oil but i did find 3-in-one multi purpose oil and was wondering if that would ruin my gun or if im good to go?

I use 3 in 1 Silicone oil. On the back of the can it says it's safe for rubber. Read the uses on the back, as long as it's safe on rubber then it's fine.

Don't use silicone on all the gearbox internals. Put grease on the gears.

I agree with that, I had the silicone in my gear set dry up and I didn't know it, I lost an entire set of bearings, gears, piston, piston head. I used white lithium grease on my gears but honestly that stuff is not all that great, it dries up and can lose its ability to provide proper lubrication.
srry i forgot to mention its a gbb! it's a kwa glock 17

I honestly haven't found a real use for lithium grease, it's probably the worst stuff as the oil eventually dries up and leaves a thick white clay. From wiki WD-40 stands for "Water Displacement - 40th Attempt". Although it may lube initially it will make things worse in the end. For instance, Locksmiths never use WD-40, it attracts dirt and makes everything gunky. They use graphite powder. Thats besides breaking down your silicone parts (and probably others.)
white lithium is great for just about any application where you need a high viscosity and heat resistance

lithium grease, don't do it lol
it could also be some variant with an extra "drying agent" in it which we all know is a bad idea

btw graphite for locks may not be a good idea
ICS gear lube FTW. The choice of professional operators around the world.
