WW2 was won in a large part due to logistics (as is any war), it's funny the things that top commanders credit with winning the war.

These are the kind of stories most deserving for a film on them. Those would be awesome.
Marines die, that's what we're here for. But the Marine Corps lives forever. And that means YOU live forever.

Which is something I've never understood. There are a lot of amazing and heroic stories out there that studio's could go after. Instead we get re-make after re-make. Hell they're even remaking Red Dawn. Why not start making movies about some of our countries greatest warriors.

I heard today that 1800 WW2 vets die every day in the US. Lets keep this thread going with there stories. I think it would be a cool way to honor those guys who gave so much for the world.

70 years ago today, Germany invaded Poland and WW2 started. Two days later England and France declared war on Germany. On the 17 September the USSR invaded Poland. By 6 October 1939 Poland was totally occupied. During WW2 Poland lost 6-7 million citizens. The invasion, occupation, and the holocaust cost Poland 20% of it's pre war population.

it looks okay, except for the 'speech' on the aircraft while in flight. aircraft are noisy, especially with the side hatch open, that's why jumpmasters have hand and arm signals to go along with the vocals, too hard to hear. i'd probably go see it, it is an untold story. most people don't even know what pathfinders are or what they do. it's about time.
