Deputy shot in Sacramemto
A deputy was shot today in Sacramento by a group of armed robbers which started in Rocklin and after a 20 minute 100+ mph pursuit and ended in Sacramento near Madison. When Deputy Sheriff Duke Lewis (a friend of my family) was flagged down by citizens that saw a group of men with ski masks on, parked in a strip mall area. As Deputy Lewis approached the suspect vehicle unknown to him they were the suspects involved in the bank robbery two cities away was fired upon by the suspects, as he retreated for cover he was shot once in the left shoulder, shortly after Deputy Lewis was transported to Mercy San Juan hospital and was treated for his wounds and he is going to be OK. All the suspects have been apprehended by a joint manhunt by Sacramento Country Sheriffs Department, CHP, Sacramento Police Department, Rocklin Police Department, and Roseville Police Department. I was on a ride along at the time of all of this and heard it on the radio.

That's good they caught the bastards. Under one day too, props to Sac Sheriff.

Sac County caught one, CHP caught the other two trying to cross I-80 like nothing was up.

i visited him this morning at trauma ICU at mercy. we couldn't see him, but his wife updated us and said he's doing well.
The other day a buddy of mine was telling me of how quite Rocklin is and that nothing ever happens there,but glad the peace officer is alright.

Anyone that is stupid enough to shoot at a peace officer should be taken out and shot themselves, thin out the gene pool a bit.

Well, despite the fact that I'm for the death penalty, I still think alternatives are neccisary in some cases. However, the mass murdering rapist psyco can enjoy his lethal injections. And I'm not saying just the extreme deserve the death penalty, but there have been cases where I don't think eye for eye life for life is the way to go.
