wa/we m4 gbb sniper
I was thinking of building up as a project gun a SR25 or m16 spr sniper platform from a m4 gbb.

easily done, but remember its gas, to turn it into a sniper system you will NEED to have the urge to "tinker" with it, all the time. as i am a gas user and getting it consistent is hard enough, its a bit more expensive to run a GBBr - gas/propane + mags = expensive, maybe not the propane but the mags. also if you want to run a sniper system - run a spring gun ;) its much more consistent.

ive ran a spring before but im thinking a dmr status weapon would be fun. been there and done that with a spring sniper. fun accurate but generally you dont get much action and ive moved on. :D

yes you can run a gbb rifle at 480-500 fps, at what temp? what if its hot, 480-500fps becomes 550+fps. only way to make sure it runs at a consistent fps, you'll need a stable supply of gas that is fed to the mag/system it uses. basically running a external gas rig will make it "consistent". check out boosters for sale, he has a nice kokousi for sale that would make an excellent rifle (dmr status)

ok. well im thinking im just going to get a we m4 and leave it as a primary. is there anything you need to do, besides downgrade it to make a GBBr sacair legal?

ya for the WE? need tons, need to check hop unit, need to make sure to tighten everything down and loctite, need to constantly lube it , specially when using propane. need to make it shoot a lot less, trust me, its hard to get them down to 400FPS there are mods, but no upgrades yet. getting a WE id suggest not to wait if you want one, as i said already ATF is holding them at customs and not letting them into the US, so if you find one, be prepared, i have had mine for 4-5months and needs a bunch of new parts (parts are only to be had via HK - all stateside retailers do not have replacement parts or at least the ones that are mostly needed)

ok so after searching many hours looking for a reason why, i just called after several min of holding and transfering i got a reason:
lol the entire lower will fit my upper and all the other ways around =p besides WE/AFC makes a AWSS - this is meant for military/LE training uses..

snoopy..just a sear, and a trigger plate, they are a total of 1.50USD per part..but i ended up spending about 60bucks, i have a total of 120 +/- 15.00 into my rifle, =) only thing that costed a ton was mags LOL...everything else was good out the box, but i did buy this "upgrade" part that blew..and was a waste but i been working on it and tweaking it, need to test it...but need those lower parts first lol. i havent spent anything on it as for real upgrades, since it wasnt too bad outta box, other than the 570+ FPS @ 74* LOL
