Long Range Pistol

Aug 18, 2009 8:10pm
My pistol-crazy friend wants to get a pistol to use as his primary weapon. It must have an effective range 120-150 feet or greater. I suggested a TM Hi-Cappa with a tightbore, but I don't really have much experience with pistols so I'm just taking a wild guess. Anyone have some ideas?

Marushin Bren Ten would be my recommendation. BBs flew far and straight out of mine.

Get a TM P226.
Some say-That it's impossible for him to wear socks, and he can open a beer bottle with his testes.

TM Glock if you can find one. Erin will agree. TM 226, 4.3, 5.1 hi-capa or 1911. Rcas will agree with me on the 1911.

We've been looking at the Mk1 pistol for a long time for him, since NBB are just cheaper to operate and we both like the Luger look of it. But a lot of the reviews say that it's inaccurate outside of 50 feet. Are these guys just idiots using .12?

Get a TM pistol and throw a tightbore in their for good measure. Use a heavier weight BB and fiddle with the hop. I was able to hit a 4" pole at 180 ft pretty consistently using .27s in a fiddled with 4.3 Hi Capa. BBs will make a difference.

I purchased a TM 1911 Meu back in April and although having to replace the piston more for convenance than it braking it fires just as accurate as my sportline. And there are more than enough uprgrades and cosmetics. Only down side is that if you are using it as your main there are no extended mags unless you make it.
It's not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog.

Long range pistol you say?
