I don't disagree with you on the second half of your statement. There is racism in the military. However, I would wager that the levels of racism are far lower in the military than in the civilian world at least in my personal experiences. I admit, my sample size is rather small and biased insofar as branch and exposure, but take that caveat for whatever it's worth.

I was stationed in North Carolina for a few years. Man that was weird. My ex-wife, who is white, would go into a "black" gas station and they wouldn't talk to her. I'd go in and they'd give me directions and ask if I was in the Marine Corps etc...I still love North Carolina because once you got past that BS, it's a great place to live.

As for the racism thing. I see it on a daily basis, 10 hours a day for four days. And if I work overtime, I obviously see it even more.

Well where do I start. I have noe experience in millitary gangs. I am white, I am also a Jew. I grew up on San Leandro Oakland area, so growing up I was a minority being white. I got picked on a lot for being white, having glasses, and being a jew. Oddly enough I got called Steve Erkle...not sure why.

Well now that brings up a good point. Thier ignorance is so great they think that judiasim is a race. Most people do not know it is a religion. If I was from Israel which I am not then it would be. I still consider it to be racism though, why? Becuase they think im another race, they have all the intent needed to be racist. Just that their level of intelligence is to low to understand I am a jew, same as them being Christian or Catholic.

I may be ignorant, but Judaism can almost be considered a race as much as Irish Catholics could, no? Most of the followers of those religions reproduce with their own people, over time creating a sort of race? no? There are stereotypical characteristic features of a Jewish person, wouldn't that basically make it a race?
