I have a TM 1911 that is venting excessive gas out of the sides of the rear of the gun. I can only get off 10 shots max with any of the 3 mags that I have using propane. Only about 3 shots with duster.
Alright well this is quite different from a WA 1911, but i'll try to help. After you hear that pop, is the piston head "loose" again? How does the o-ring look?

So I figured out the problem in case anyone runs into the same venting issue. I bought a stock piston head off RayL on airsoftforum.com.
Glad to hear you got it fixed brother. I have not had any issues with mine yet but I don't think I get 25 shots out of a mag. Maybe 70-80% of the bb's most of the time. I thought it was the mag being a single stack design (less gas vol.). I have a nine ball replacement piston head/cup if mine ever breaks. Did you ever have one of those installed? If so, did you like it?

From the sound of it, it seems like nothing was broken except a loose screw. It seems like you just had to threadlock it.
