Im myself dont like American cars, i have Subaru, 98 Z71 and an 82 Yota 4x4. the yota and subaru run fine, my yota is 20yo and 2nd clutch! My z71 is well junk. I could have payed my subaru off already if ididnt have to keep fixing that cr@p mobile chevy of mine. and i have had Fords, and DOdge, with simialr experinces. and i used to be a Vallee, i cant spell i know, and i have driven a Lotus Elisce, not as fast as say a ferrari Modena but damn do i love that car.

Well I can understand, it does get expensive when you pay to get things fixed. I work on all my cars myself so i save money in that repect. Although remember you are comparinga 98 automobile which is more complicated and expensive to something that is old and cheap (Yota). Its all about maintinance. If you take care of your car, it will take car of you. Regardless of the model.

American made muscle all the way. Don't get me wrong I have respect fr anybody's ride but where I draw the line is when I see these idiots at Sac Raceway running late 80's or early 90's Civic with everything ripped out of the interior (The only thing left is the milk crate/phonebook racing seat) and the thing runs 15's or 16's. WOW that's just mind blowing fast not to mention their cars look like sh*t and sound like a weed eater that tangled with a steam roller. I'll take our LS1 and LS2 thanks.

Yes you are correct, i was not refering to stock EVOs and stock STIs. Quite honestly you cant compare the performance and power of a muscle verse a import purly on stock. Its like comparing apples and oranges. you are talking about 4 more cylinders...in most cases.
Dec 14, 2005 8:49pm
our 550 HP SVT lightning was pretty good at beating down rice....lol and burnouts.....at 50 or so.....fuck I miss that thing...but I am starting lean the import side of things....selling the old focus to finance an STi..fit and finish you cant beat import for the money. lol besides....they may be designed over seas...but they are made in the USA in most cases.....

Yeap ukau i actually agree with you. You cant ignore the fact that you are going to throw bank into a import to make it fast and even then its pretty limited. With a muscle you dont have to throw as much money into and itll very nice gains.
Dec 14, 2005 11:51pm
agreeded, my dad had a gto 6 pack (i think 1968) and anyhow it oculd do a 1/4 mile in about 9 seconds. Ive seen the track records, and it can beat most rice rockets. His car was stock except for the 6 pack, and a fw othere things but i cant remeber what.
