Ok, anyone seen one of these before? A friend of my dad's saw this at a yard sale for $5 and grabbed it for me knowing how much I love carbines. The stock is wood, the barrel is plastic, but the reciever is metal and when you charge it and pull the tigger, it clicks like a real gun would. The selecter switch actually works, and throws a lever near the trigger. It almost seems like it it should shoot something, but it doesn't. The barrel is actually plugged. Real magazines fit in it, although kind of tight. As you can see, side by side next to the real thing it's dead on. Very cool. There is a letter in there from the ATF saying it's not classified as a weapon and is OK to sell without any paper work. I have no idea if they were ever sold, or if this is the prototype that is talked about in the letter, but it's a cool find anyway. Great for display, props, photos, whatever. I plan to use this to make fiberglass molds of the reciever for my airsoft carbine at some point.

Nice find man.
Look its a bird its a plane, no its just my broken aeg flying all over the place.
Ah... that might explain why the trigger works and the selecter swich actually moves things. Thanks for the info!

You should be able to mod it to shoot bb's, with the barrel drilled and shell modded to fit a 6mm bb you can place a bb in the end of the shell and fire bb's, no hop up though so you would have to figure out that one, did it on my 1911 and it was a cool novelty.

Great! Thank you for the link, I was looking for the shells for it last night, I'd love to try it just for the heck of it.
