i have a CA 416 sportline and just installed metal bushing and re-shimmed it, got a new ball bearing spring guide and a m110 guarder spring but when i put it together it shoots the first time a pulled the trigger then it gets stuck all the way back the second time a try to shoot

I'm guessing you're using an 8.4v, so you should use a 9.6v instead. That should do it.

Get a new motor. Sportlines's motor tend to not work after you upgrade them.

Yip, it's the motor for sure. I've worked on one of those sportline just like you did. I only installed a new set of bushing and the motor only shot once like yours. Then it got stuck. I asked Mickey and he said that sportlines' motors are lame. Maybe you can go to AEX and ask Mickey about it. If your shims job is fine then it's definitely the motor.

Do NOT base your repairs off of internet help. take it in and have it inspected / diagnosed first. This is a great place for ideas to look at but if you aren't familiar with diagnosing problems have it looked at by a professional

i also think that fixing and working on your own gun its a big part of the fun when playing airsoft, it gives you a better idea how it works.
