I get to have my first simunitions training on thursday and was wondering if any of you guys have already done it before, and what were your experiences?

Go in blindly. Don't try and think about what your going to do before hand.

It hurts more than paintball for sure, be ready to tap and rack as they love to jam, focus on firearm basics (safety, grip, sight alignment, stance) LISTEN to what your intructors are explaining and telling you be mature and BE HUMBLE don't go in with the attitude that just cause you play Airsoft your a seasoned veteran. Listen, participate, and learn.

thanks. one of the things we will be doing is a 1 on 1 in a shoothouse.

bring ice packs, disinfectants, and mostly a needle w/ a cigar (or crack) torch.

LMAO...its gonna hurt ;) sim's are fun did some sim playing with some LEO/Mil guys last week, i can tell you if you think you are tuff and airsoft is LOL, paintball doesnt hurt, this is worse, you get 3x bigger and deeper welts, remember to wear full face mask and something to cover your throat. i got stiched with a few rounds and they left some wicked bruises, yes i was wearing armor, suckers are great shots and hit me 2x in the leg's and 2x in the shoulders :) center mass shots are the way to go, specially since thats what most of the instructors teach..others may say they teach you headshots, thats a last resort tactic. BTW its more fun to shoot steel targets, i like the binging noise hehe. actually now i gotta make sure all my mags are H.D rounds...i guess i should clean a few of my toys

I have done Advanced Officer Training several times now as a suspect and the best advice I can give you is just try and get at least one layer between skin and the rounds. I have had to do it in July and August at the hottest parts of the day and I always wear jeans and a long sleeve. You'll be OK cause it's November.

So in case you missed the important point to the last couple of posts... Cup AND GLOVES! haha
The reason i am doing the sim training is because of a police explorers program. We are trying to create a "Tac Team" ( cant call it a swat team) for nationals this year
