Hi, everyone. I'm Paul S. from Sacramento. I just got out of the US Marine Corps this month. For this coming Halloween, I bought a cheapo air soft M4 replica and shotgun replica for my post-apocalypse costume. I was introduced to airsoft when I was in high school and now I want to come back to it. I'm looking at buying the G&G Full Metal GR-16 R4 Commando (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=408_410&products_id=3434). Anyone know if this is a good buy? Any recommendations on other weapon systems and brands are welcome. Thanks

Go with a KWA, I have a few of the G&G's from last year and they work great but have been hearing the current ones have issues.

Welcome, I avoid g&g but I hear they are getting better. I am a fan of G&P and CA.

Welcome to sacairsoft. I'd recomend KWA or CA. KWA can be more expensive but it's like buying a preupgraded gun. CA has great externals and are fully customizable. Personally I haven't heard much good about G&G but I have never had one myself.

hello and welcome. If you want a gun you can just pick up and run with and not have to worry about id recommend kwa, great performance right away and can take alot of abuse. G&G is good as long as it is one of their later models/versions. I'm not sure about that gun specifically, but yeah

Awesome! Okay, so I've been looking at threads on subjects like "best airsoft brand" and "G&G vs KWA". A lot of people are talking about brands like Classic Army, Systema, G&P and Tokyo Marui. I'm definitely not trying to spend my life savings on a gun.

Haha, I was a POG myself. I was a company Radio Operator for 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines, out of Camp Lejeune, NC. Been with the grunts my whole career.
