I have a kwa mkII 1911 ptp and it has been nothing but trouble from the start. When first bought the gun from airsoft gi, the outer barrel was cracked and the magazine was leaky. After they sent me another one the base plate for the mag came cracked and periodically falls out. The base plate holds in the spring and this is so annoying when playing and shit starts a-flying other than bbs. On top of all this i've had MAJOR slide problems from the start. My slide started to lock back on the hammer and I would have to manually reset it. I fixed this temporarily with two o-rings to keep the slide from moving so far back but i have problems with this as well. The slide dosent always catch either, i've checked the follower and couldn't find anything wrong, however it seems to catch maybe 1 out of 3 times. My guns most recent problem is the faster than usual erosion of the slide catch slot ( don't know what else to call it, but the place where the slide catch locks into) It is already becoming warped and bending. outwards. If anyone knows how to fix these problems please help me out.

What kind of pistol would you reccomend? I'm into the 1911 style but am definatly never buying a kwa mark series ever again.

The main reason I bought the KWA Mk ii is because I love the look. The tan and black caught my eye and I have heard so much about the m series kwa's i figured id try it. Ive never seen a Body kit for a tm 1911 that resembles the KWA's. I also dont like hi capa's and I dont think they resemble 1911's very much. Basically Im looking for a combination of old 1911 and new. stright cut barrel, font and rear cocking serations, novak type sights, bottom rail...ect.

Fixed the slide and slide catch wear with a razor blade. A testament to American ingenuity. :lol:
