GBB Input
Ok so I was planning on purchasing a WE SCAR-L. I loved the fact that it was a gas blowback and of course because of the fact that it is a SCAR and I love those. I have had AEGS my entire airsofting time and never really even used any GBBs (my own or anyone elses) So that got me thinking "I have no idea on how to properly maintain and or use it and I am about to spend $300 on something that I will most likely end up breaking" So now I am thinking about just getting a GBB pistol to start so that I can learn the basic care and maintenance required and then work my way up to the big boy. Is this a good idea? and if so, what is the basic care and maintenance of a GBB?

1991's? hmm. ok. The TM 226 is a great gun, keep it stock. TM Glock 17 is also a nice gun. The KWA G17 and 19 are good. As for the 1911, I'd go with TM or look into the MEU. If you can find one. As for the GBB rifles, talk to Viper or CAG Mike for input. Also, msg Snoopy as well. Hope the info helps.
Thanks a lot on that. I was actually looking a WE MEU but I had heard that mag had some feeding problems. Supposedly the feed lip isn't long enough and also that I would need a vavle adapter because the fill valvle is deep in the mag. But I am unsure about this.

also i heard about the WE scars after like a mag or two the bolt freezes up and you have to wait for it to heat up before it will shoot right
Ok so after being referred to TM i found one that was similar to the one i was looking at. it is the TM Desert Warrior 4.3 . opinions?

Snoopy has one, and was able to bring to AEX, nice gun. Shoots very clean. I believe ReconRabbit shot it.
How is the plastic slide? was kinda looking for metal one but if it is nice i would reconsider.

I love western arms guns but I have a hard time playing with them because they are so pretty. TM is your best bet they look good, shoot good and feel good. In my airsoft experience you can't go wrong with a KWA either. I would suggest staying away from a single stack guns but that's my opinion. I say look for a used TM M9, Hi-Capa or 226
I have the KWA 1911DS PTP and it is the best GBB pistol that i have EVER used it is a great gun the feel of it in my hand is great, the blow back is totally crisp, and it just feels good to shoot and it looks great in your hands. the price of the gun is WELL worth it.
The Valkyrie... The warriors angel.
You have the right idea about starting off with just a handgun to learn the ins and outs. Also, I just ask alot of questions. I feel like their dumb questions but if it saves me from screwing my gbb up then it can't be too dumb.
also i would buy a used gun, that doesn't have any problems, because if it is used, then it prolly doesn't have any defects that the owner would know about,(unless otherwise stated) i think ppl on the site would be honest about that stuff, but if im wrong and you are all a bunch a greedy assholes, then correct me :D :D
