Very strange because it charges other 9.6v batteries just fine. I'm borrowing a friends charger tomorrow and I'll see what's up once I get it.

My bad, I misread your post. It could be a bad cell/pack if it only happens with the crane style battery and is fine with your other 9.6.

Yeah, there were some sparks when connecting the two plugs together. I'm not sure if that's normal, but I don't think so. I'm gonna check the wiring, and hopefully find some answers. That would suck if the guy sold me a broken battery...

Ok, I did some testing with the wires. Turns out I was sold a broken 9.6v crane stock battery. Pretty mad right now...

Ok, I sure feel like an IDIOT right now... The small to large adapter given to me was for a standard small type battery, and not for a crane stock battery. The wires were reversed. To my own stupidity, I thought they were fine since the plugs went in just fine.

Fuck it.....just toss that bitch in the recycle can. I guess you have never seen a pack blow up before? not pretty. Play it safe and buy a new pack.

Seek the Narrow Gate, for the path is broad and the gate is wide that leads to destruction.
