totally unrelated to airsof, but google and most of the volvo forums aren't helping...

Did you get the check engine light looked at while you were at Kragen's?
I've owned it for 3 years, my dad was the origional owner he got it in 91. I think the only difference I noticed was a loss of power before putting in the new alternator

volvo's have been rated the safest most reliable cars on the market for years... ask your dad how many times he's had to service the car in its life. You got a good car dude ::thumbs up::
My dad had an '82 240 for 18 years. Very light service. Before he sold it (it still drives today) it was in perfect condition.
hes had it serviced TOO many times, the trannys been replaced twice (both under warranty) its had various electrical problems, the cruise control doesn't work, the brake lights don't even turn on anymore, yea its built like a sherman tank, but damnit if i drop anymore money into that god hated machine

Go through the basic stuff before you condemn the car.
I know at harbor freight, they have Little code readers with adaptors for most vehicles... but it sounds like the fault code is still there, so resetting it should fix the problem. I have done this several times through VAG-COM, a VERY useful tool to have.
