5000 rd box M16 mag
Has anyone used this ultra hi cap box mag? 5000 rounds, manual wind. Im thinking about it with an M16A2 upgraded to 400fps, as a base of fire weapon since im hurt (knee problems)and not all that mobile. Still cant wait to get started into this with you all, any input on the above is appreciated!!
Well, since no one replied on ANY site i asked the above question, i ordered one with an M16A2 upgraded to 400fps from Redwolf. Add to that a quick-release silencer and a 9.4 3300ma battery, we will see if it can really hold up. I look forward to coming out tomorrow to meet some of you and see how things work while my gun is being set up.

Just because your AEG can hold 5000rnds, that doesn't make you the heavy gunner.... You should have just gotten an M60 or an M249 IMHO.

To answer some of the above questions, the upgrade work is all done by Redwolf...
get the battery right... there is no 9.4 its either 8.4 or 9.6, we dont know which your talking about here.
I am confused about what spring they said they are puting in. If its a PDI, it would be like 170%, or 180%... the systema springs are M100, M120, M130
Site says PDI M130 spring, and sorry about the battery nomenclature, as you just saw this is all new to me. Its a 9.6 3300MA battery that they install in the butt. Redwolf lists this upgrade as their level 3, 400fps upgrade.

Dude f#$k it! just go out and play :twisted: It's all good hell I got like 8 guns now and still can't find that do it all one, sounds like you are on the right track though with that big ass battery and mag. be heavier then sh@t but oh well, get a bipod, coffeeand kick it at one good spot. Sounds like you would be a good spotter for a sniper with your setup. When does your stuff come in? You know Maintenceamn got a setup like you for his g36 with a huge mag. He really likes it. Gun came yesterday, so these next few days will be setting it up. This 5000 round box mag is pretty cool so far, dont know about in the field yet, but i like it so far, fairly sturdy. It is sectioned off inside, the upper being what feeds into the "magazine part" of the box, and the lower being a larger storage area. Small dial on the bottom took about 8 rolls with my thumb to get tension to it, and that was with 1500 or so bbs. The battery goes in and out of the stock with ease, rate of fire is pretty damn fast, so we will see if it holds up now, even with all the steel gears/bushings and so forth.
