VFC or G&G?

Jan 17, 2010 6:48am
I have a CA and its been nothing but trouble. even the after stock components ive put in it all seem to never work or barly work so ive decided to get a new gun. i was going to get a gbb but dismissed the idea. ive been eyeing a VFC m4 tac carbine and also athe ECHO1 platnum with VFC guts. I am on a buget so i looked at some g&gs and the GR-16 Commando looked decent. ive reaserched the hek out of these guns and more but third opinions help when its an ivestment. im basicly wondering wich would probly perform the best and last the longest stock just to keep it simple. any suggestions on other guns are welcome. thanx if u can help

Get the g&g combat machine non blow back aeg. $170, one of the best purchases I've made, had it since august 09 and absolutely no problems, all I would do is put a better spring in it

I can agree. G&G has done me well with both guns I've had. Slightly cheaper (monitarily that is) for the same or close quality to the other high-end AEGs. ARES/STAR isn't a bad way to go if you can front the bill.

I have owned 3 G&G guns, and all have been total CRAP. I had one of the first m14s that AEX brought in back in 2005...It was junk. Then I got a one of GR15s that was also crap. (Any one remember the WORLDWIDE G&G GR version 2 gearbox recall???) Then I gave them a last chance on a AK...It was okay but not near as good as a TM, or a VFC or even a CA...and I am not really a fan of CA...

My only experience with VFC is the BAR, which hands down is the best gun I've ever owned. No simply based on the fact its rare and cool, but internally it's solid. If the BAR represents the best of VFC, I'd buy with confidence.

My friend has the AirsoftGI G4A3 and that gun is simply amazing. it works great and everything, and uses G & G as a base so that sounds good. but personally id get the VFC Platinum series M4. I've researched that gun so much and honestly its the best gun youll ever get for the price. and very realistic weight/metal etc. Plus it comes with a gun case! and if you buy it on airsoftgi.com for $350 itll include a $100 rail! (just a side note)

i know this is a pretty dead post but im wondering if you guys can give me insight on your experience with VFC version 2 gear boxes. are they built to last? specificly, in comparison with G&G's v2. ive recently been looking into getting a long rifle like the gr25/spr and VFC's mk12 mod1. i love the realism in VFC but the price is crazy. and G&Gs doesnt use a m4 mag(as far as the spr goes that is). any long term ar25 users out there?

Hey I haven't personally owned one. But this video might help. Just click 5 20 into the video for the part on the gearbox (which is all vfc version 2). Might help a little
