How important is it to make sure your gun is clean and lubed up? is it like a real gun for instance?

yes, keeping ur gun clean is very important. cuz after a while u get a lot of dust and dirt in ur barrel and it can effect the bbs flight path. i usually clean my gun every 3 games

i clean mine every .3 games, sometimes more often j/k

u will eventually need 2 do that yes, but not on a weekly basis. maybe every month and a half or so....and have a professional do it....

People here at sacairsoft could do it. It will probably cost some money though.

never use real gun lube

as long as you keep the cylinder clean and the piston head lubed you'll be fine. most barrels dont get dirty unless you dig into the ground or use bb's that have been in the mud.
