Eric made his friends choose his way or no way. He first pulled this crap with coolwater when he made CP and Dave leave the team if they wanted to remain his friends....he pulled this with other members and it left them with a bad taste in their mouths.

Centralized, formalized leadership. That is what SACAIR is not all about. It has done quite well with friends playing with and respecting friends. Rules, well we have do deal with them to a degree because there are a lot of people that show up to games that we don't know. But SACAIR will prevail.
I agree, the actions of a few have ruined our hobby. LE is gonna back this thinking they won't have to waste any more time and man power chasing calls about kids with guns. That's their fiscal point if view. These idiots in sacramento.... Ban it and it will go away....yea right! This will mean a run on flat black spray paint. Then what's their answer? It will be illegal to paint it? Well dip shits it's ALL READY ILLEGAL!
On another more serious note, the airsoft ban is gonna happen. It has been defended with the wrong argument from day one. The shops and manufactures should have hammered away on fiscal impacts due to increased unemployment, and loss of sales tax and income tax revenue...no politican cares about the loss of our hobby...but putting people out work in a shot economy is something they do care about....end rant
I will continue to play. I won't be painting my gun. I'm fine with going back to games with only 20 close friends or so. private games on private property and rural blm areas like foresthill where I have the right to have my real guns too.

Erik had a very clear and driven goal for the future of Sacair as a non profit whos proceeded would go to cancer research in memory of Bruce. I worked with him a ton to set it up, and we were very close to enacting it but in the end I decided it was not the right way to go for me, and with all the other admins objecting it all fell apart. He is a good guy and was just doing what he thought was best. I cant ever fault someone for that.
