How hot does your gun shoot ,how does this make you better?

I use .25 all across the board. That's why I use slightly higher velocity if I want a little more range. The one factor left out of all this is gravity. Even with hop properly set, a .25g bb will start dropping sooner than a .20g bb will, so a little more fps is necessary to carry the bb the same distance as a .20g at lower velocity. Hence the reason my CA33E shoots 380-390 fps with .20g, hop turned all the way off. With the hop set and using .20g bb's (Airsoft Elite, 5.93mm to 5.95mm on the precision calipre.), I get about 355-360 fps out of it.

More about FPS and BBs weight. Please read this...very good article.

Wrong.

Which is why I said that they would theoreticaly travel about the SAME distance accurately given similar circumstances.

Right, but in actual practice, when you start bumping up bb weight, in order to achieve the same absolute range as the lighter bb while increasing accuracy, you have to increase initial velocity. Now, when we look at the earlier example I put up, when the .20g bb is fired at 350 fps and the .25g bb is fired at 347 I guess two objects of different weights fired at the identical initial velocity will have the same range. But to achieve that velocity, you've gotta increase the initial amount of ffps, they can achieve the similar range. However, the .25g bb fired at 347 fps requires more force than the .20g bb fired at 350 fps. Unless the calculator on Arnie's is wrong, of course.

I'm honestly starting to think that we're thinking the same thing, but expressing different aspects of it.

Yea, we are arguing the same thing.
