CA M15A4 seal c.q.b. gearbox/wiring questions.

Just got a CA seal cqb, there are no connectors on the wire coming from the gearbox, the wires end an inch and a half after what would be the buffer tube on a real M4 and they are very thin, almost as thin as stereo wire. Im some what new to the sport but i know that this wiring with that much resistance cant stand the juice from an 8-cell 4200 battery very long without melting or catching fire. the guy i bought the gun from said he got a new gear set installed and i believe he had it rewired but im not sure. my question is, Is the CA seal cqb qear box able to handle the juice from that big of a battery in the heat of the moment on a full auto game, should i have it rewired, or just upgrade gear boxs, and what gearbox should i go with.

The thin wires are necessary because 2 cells from the battery slide in to the buffer tube and that leaves very little room for the wires. And it'll handle it just fine. They've been working like that for years.

It's not efficient but it works. You really have to hold down to get the wires hot. Odds are, the motor will heat up. Even then the gun will hold up. If its a big deal to you...get a 16 gauge wiring and retire it. You'll have to use lipo from there on out....or just run the gun with 6 cells.

I had my brother re-wire with 12 gauge wiring and switched to deans connectors. on semi the wires were almost to the point of melting and on full auto even with short spaced bursts the wires got so hot you couldnt touch them without burning the holy hell out of your fingers. I compaird a 6-cell to my 8-cell 4200's and the rate of fire is higer by a VERY considerable amount.
