Whoa, very cool. If they turn out to be reliable it would make a very cool m1. The gas Garands are pretty cool, but 8mm and pretty much a plinker (until they break) due to reliability issues. This could be very cool if they work good.

I forsee problems with converting the magazines into the proper size, although if it paves the way for them to create an M1 Garand "I doubt it" then hellyeah! Although we do have some creative custom builders out there who might be able to jerry rig up some smaller gas mags for an M1 conversion.
