Today I spent my Saturday at CQB City in Stockton. Now many of you have expressed distaste if not out-right hatred of the place, due to poor rule enforcement, lack of refs, ect. But today it was different. The safety briefing was well structured and all inclusive. Instead of just shouting into a crowd, everyone was lined up in ranks and were stood at attention, so every detail of the forthcoming scenario was everything but stapled to your forehead. Guns were chronoed, checked and double checked. The refs were highly visible, sometimes to the point of them following you around. I saw honor cards punched, ref actually doing their jobs and little to absolutely no cheating. The entire field and experience is much more structured and 100% professional now. If in the past you have been to CQB City and didn't enjoy it, please give it another try. It is well worth it.
Given it enough tries and this has happened before when everything seemed much better then a couple months later the place went to shit again.
