If I had $400 to spend on an M14, I'd definitely grab one of the newer GBBs. Semi-auto blowback just feels more right for the M14 than an AEG.

Yes it is safe to use that battery. It just has a lot of mAh which means it will last a long time.

G&P externals are always pretty nice. Internally they are hit and miss. Only real issues you have to look out for are the gear axles which snap in some cases and a batch of there piston heads wherent stellar. Ive repaired both more than a couple of times was about 6 months ago. Lately the piston heads have been fine once in a while axles still break but still not as frequently. They are worth it. Im ordering a G&P MRP within the month.
